What does "live weight" mean?
It's the weight of the animal as it stands, before any preparation. We weigh it on our scale — that same morning if you're ordering online, or right in front of you for a walk-in — multiply by $5 per pound, then add the flat $50 processing fee. For example, a 60 lb goat or lamb is $300 plus $50 processing, for a $350 total.
Is the estimator's number the final price?
It's a genuine estimate based on our real rates, but the final figure depends on the actual weight of the animal you choose. The scale at the farm settles it.
Can I reserve an animal ahead of time?
Call or message us with your timing and what you need, and we'll tell you what we can hold and for how long. This is especially helpful during holidays and other busy periods.
Do you sell by the cut or by the pound of meat?
Goats and lambs are sold as live animals, priced by live weight. Chickens and ducks are sold per bird. If you have questions about preparation, ask when you call and we'll explain what's available.
How many chickens can I buy at once?
That depends on current availability. Tell us how many you'd like and we'll confirm whether it's possible this week or suggest a better day.
